Spark by Hilton Fort Wayne

Very clean and everything is up to date and well lit. Comfortable beds and bedding as well. Easy check in and out, and the free coffee bar & breakfast area was all nice and tidy. We were very happy with this hotel and will stay when coming through town again.

I gave a 4 because ice was only available on the 1st floor. The rooms were so clean, bed comfy, refrigerator in room, iron and iron board, hair dryer also available. Didn't have a safe. Staff was very polite. Location was excellent! Quiet as well!!

This was our first visit to a Spark hotel. We tend to be Hilton loyalists and thought we'd save a little cash on a recent weekend visit and see what Hilton's budget hotel had to offer. It wasn't a bad stay at all! Occupying what used to be a Comfort Inn, Spark is a pretty nice stay. While you can tell the facility is aged, the Hilton update gives it a fresh look/new life with brighter colors and updated furnishings. We selected a room that was adjacent to a stairwell. It's always a gamble because -- people -- but from what we could tell by the site map, those rooms tend to be bigger. Our room was easily 50% larger than most room, with the addition of a sizable closet space. The furnishings are definitely new, but look rather minimal in our room due to its larger size. The pivoting work space is nice, but the hassock is far too short to work on it for any length of time. I have to wonder if anyone had occupied this particular room at all because the refrigerator wasn't plugged in. We had to crawl on the floor to find the plug to plug it into the wall. The only thing that was missing was a clock. There is no clock in the room. Not that that's a big thing because any person has one or two clocks on them at any time anyway. I've seen a number of reviews complain about the free breakfast. I honestly didn't have a problem with it at all. There are bagels, breads, muffins, oatmeal, and cereals along with fresh fruit and some juices. It's a budget facility. You're not going to get omelets or made-to-order pancakes. Adjust your expectations. The staff we interacted with was great and helpful. Instead of vending machines there's a small snack/sundry shop if you get the late night need-to-eat. I am 100% satisfied with our stay. We saved some money and were located near just about anything we'd need.

Painless and easy check-in! Very friendly and comforting staff. Answered all questions and we’re very attentive and brought me extra towels in a hurry that’s always a plus! Had a great option for Breakfast on the go will definitely rebook this place!

Pros: it felt really clean. Bed was comfortable. Supper close to Starbucks. Cons: Poor water pressure. Weak shower. No hot breakfast if that’s what you’re hoping for. It’s cereal, juice, bagels, yogurt, packaged muffins, some fruit. It was good and fresh, just not a hot breakfast.

Clean, friendly awesome breakfast. Close to everything. In the process of getting a much needed face-lift, but don't let that stop you from staying.

Wow, nice updated hotel! Hotel is clean and everyone I encountered was friendly. This is the first time I experienced a Spark hotel and it definitely won’t be my last.

This is my first time in a Spark by Hilton..The rooms are very clean. The layout allows for a huge space. It would be nice if the room has one more rolling chair, as the desk area unfolds into a long table. We only stayed one night. Maybe, if we asked for an extra chair they would have given us one. The front desk people were very friendly. We skipped breakfast as the Paraplegic World Cup Volleyball Teams were there. Lots of young people. I didn't want to get in their way. I have two complaints - one the hotel will not be able to change and the other they can. First, the bathroom needs to be a little larger. The toilet is so close to the wall that it is easy to knock the toilet paper down. I don't know what the designers were thinking. Second, they have these nice hubs for plugging in your electronics. One on the desk and another next to the bed. They need one on the other side of the bed, as well. If I travel this way again, I would definitely stay here. Also, the room is very well lit. The lights on the bed can practically light the whole room. The little nightlight in the sink area is bright.
